Our conformance target

Essera is committed to making its platform usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology. We design, build, and test toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and we treat accessibility as a launch requirement rather than a later improvement.

Measures we take

Semantic landmarks, headings, and labels so pages are navigable by screen readers.
Full keyboard operability for interactive controls, with visible focus indicators.
Color-contrast and text-resize support that meets the WCAG 2.1 AA contrast thresholds.
Automated accessibility checks (axe-core) run against key pages in our test suite.

Known limitations

We are honest about where coverage is still maturing. In particular, video captions are displayed where a provider has supplied them with their content; captions are not yet generated automatically for every recording, so some provider-uploaded media may lack them. We are working to broaden caption availability.

If you encounter a barrier or something on Essera that is difficult to use with assistive technology, please tell us so we can fix it. Visit our support page to report an accessibility issue, and describe the page and the problem you experienced. We aim to respond promptly and to prioritize fixes for barriers that block core tasks.
